Check engine lights can come on for a variety of reasons. Sometimes this can be something as simple as a loose gas cap, and sometimes it can indicate a serious transmission issue. The range of engine troubles our cars can have is expansive. Luckily, that’s what our auto techs are here for. We can figure out the problem and get it fixed so you don’t have to worry.

Our cars and trucks are built with computers in them that constantly monitor the vehicle’s health. When something needs to be fixed, they let us know. You don’t necesarily need to stop driving your vehicle or feel like this is an emergency. You should, however, bring your car into the shop soon so we can fix it. A check engine light coming on could indicate an issue that’s affecting your gas mileage. Or it could mean something is seriously wrong, in which case you shouldn’t put more miles on it until we have a chance to repair the issue.

Our vehicles’ computers are programmed with codes that can let auto techinicians see what’s wrong quickly. We just run a quick scan with our diagnostic tool and we’ll have that code (or codes) right away. Then we can head to our computer, look up your vehicle’s make and model, and let you know what we’ll need to do to fix your problem.
